Czechia Alumni Gather at the Czech Embassy in Tashkent
On October 2, 2026, the Czech Embassy in Tashkent opened its doors to alumni from three countries: Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. Graduates travelled from across the region to reconnect with old friends, meet new faces and share memories of the years they spent in Czechia.
The guests were greeted by the Czech Ambassador, H. E. Lubomír Frebort, who said he was delighted to host the alumni, including many from Uzbekistan. Traditional Czech dishes, sweets and drinks added to the relaxed, intimate atmosphere of the garden party. Over good food and warm conversation, the afternoon quickly turned into a lively exchange of stories, experiences and plans for the future.

Guests spoke warmly of their time in Czechia. One alumnus said: “The event was held at a very high level. My life and studies in Czechia were very interesting and productive, and I am deeply grateful to Czechia.”
Another added: “As I have always proudly stated, Czechia is my second home. My education in Czechia gave me a great career.”
Moments like these show that studying abroad leaves more than a diploma. It builds friendships, opens career paths and creates a lasting bond between people and places. The gathering in Tashkent was a reminder of how strong that connection remains among graduates across Central Asia, and of the value of a community that keeps growing long after graduation.
